Terms & Conditions of Booking
Deposit
A non-refundable booking confirmation deposit of £1,000 is required to secure your wedding booking.
Cancelling your booking
In the event that you wish to cancel your booking, the following fees will be issued:
Twelve months or more prior to the wedding the deposit will be held
Six months and up to twelve months prior to the wedding, the deposit and 50% of the venue hire fee or 25% of the package price will be retained
Less than six months prior to the wedding, the deposit and 100% of the venue hire fee or 50% of the package price will be retained
Less than three months prior to the wedding, the deposit, 100% of the venue hire fee and 50% of the expected overall revenue (including food, wine and bar) or 100% of the package price will be retained.
Accommodations deposits are non-refundable.
Postponing your booking
In the event you wish to postpone your booking a £250 admin fee will be charged* and postponing must be agreed by the venue prior to doing so.
If you postpone with at least six months’ notice prior to the wedding, we will move your booking with the admin fee charged. If you postpone with less than six months until the wedding, an additional 50% of the venue hire fee or 25% of the package price will be charged.
You are permitted to postpone your booking once before the venue reserves the right to charge a new deposit for any additional date moves.
*This excludes weddings affected by Covid-19 where the venue has agreed in writing to postpone the wedding.
Covid-19 Clause
Should it be deemed necessary to postpone the wedding due to Covid-19 restrictions, a new date will be agreed in writing by the venue and no charges will be made. Accommodation bookings will be transferred to the new date (subject to availability).
Payment schedule
On booking a £1,000 booking confirmation deposit towards the total balance is required.
Twelve months prior to the wedding 50% of the venue hire fee or 25% of the package price is payable.
Six months prior to the wedding, an additional 50% of the venue hire fee or additional 25% of the package price is payable.
8 weeks prior to the wedding, the remainder of the balance is payable.
Please note
- We reserve the right to increase prices if necessary
- We request that children are supervised at all times due to our location (deep water)
- We do not offer exclusive hire but all accommodation may be booked by the wedding party. Eve’s bar will be open to the public
- Fireworks are not permitted due to our location and fire regulations
- To keep our gardens tidy and reduce potential harm to local wildlife, we require confetti to be biodegradable i.e. dried rose petals or dried flowers
- We ask that guests organise their own entertainment but advise you to check with the hotel before any deposits are paid
- If you have your wedding breakfast in the Crooked barn you must vacate the barn by 5.30pm
- We insist that only food and drink purchased here may be consumed, anyone that is seen not to comply with this will be asked to leave the premises. The only exceptions to this is when it is agreed in writing with the wedding coordinator
- We do not accept responsibility for any food/wedding cake served that is not prepared/made by us
- We request that your guests behave in an appropriate manner and are respectful and polite to staff at all times, should there be any problems we reserve the right to ask people to leave the premises
- Should any damage caused to our rooms which results in the room not being fit for use will result in a fee being charged to the bride and groom
- The bar closes promptly at 12am so guests are asked that entertainment is only booked until this time
- Guests that are having a ceremony with us must book the registrar themselves and inform the venue of the time once booked
- Accommodation is available from 2pm on the day of the wedding and check out time is 11am the following morning
- You agree we can publish any photos taken by us on your wedding day
- We strongly recommend you take out Wedding Insurance
